Built by someone who lived the problem — and can build the fix.
Not a software company that toured a few firms. Khetvar comes from the field.
I spent over a decade between the field and the office before I wrote a line of Khetvar — rod man to Party Chief. Boundary and topo, construction staking, ALTA/NSPS, DOT route surveys, drone missions. I’ve staked the curb, read the spec, submitted the ALTA, and chased the client to pay it.
The measuring was never the hard part. Everything around it was — the dispatch, the billing review, the scope call at nine at night, the bust nobody caught until the file got opened in the office a week later. It was never a labor shortage. It was a coordination shortage wearing a labor shortage’s clothes.
So I built the fix — starting with the miss that stung most: checking the stakeout against design on site, before the crew packs up, not next week in Trimble Business Center. That grew into the operating layer the back office runs on, with agents the licensed surveyor supervises. I don’t hold a PLS, and Khetvar doesn’t make licensed calls — the seal stays with the licensed surveyor; the agent does the coordination around it.
I built it for the firm I came up in: technically excellent, administratively underwater, living in one person’s head — one retirement away from losing everything it knows.
