What is Stakeout QC?
Stakeout QC is the check between staking a point and driving off: every as-staked point compared to its design point, in the field, against your tolerance. A bust becomes a five-minute re-stake instead of next week’s truck roll.
Not a pass/fail dashboard. A survey-plat instrument.
State-plane coordinates, an auto-computed true-north (≈, because it’s computed), a live scale bar, and tap any two stakes to measure. The same instrument the Party Chief reads in the field and the Licensed PM reads in the office.

Does this replace my CAD or Trimble Business Center?
No. Stakeout QC checks the as-staked points against design before the crew leaves. The plat, the office work, and the seal stay exactly where they are — it just catches the bust at the truck, so the re-stake isn’t a second trip.
Whose coordinate system and tolerance?
Yours. The run sits in your state-plane zone (this one is Arizona Central) and your firm’s tolerance (here, horizontal 0.060′). True-north is computed grid convergence, marked computed — never a surveyed bearing it didn’t earn.
Is the seal still mine?
Always. Khetvar doesn’t make licensed calls and doesn’t sign anything. It checks, flags, and shows its work; the Licensed PM decides and seals.
What about a field-fit?
A field-fit is a sanctioned in-field adjustment a Party Chief makes on purpose — access, an obstruction, a conflict on the ground. Stakeout QC records it as a field-fit, not a bust. The record knows the difference.
